Discuss the clinical relevance of each parameter eg why is sensitivity important? Why is a wide linear range clinically useful?

Clinical biochemistry

In order to pass, you MUST quote data to support your evaluation. For example, if you say that one assay is quicker than the other, you MUST provide information on how long each assay takes. Providing evidence is standard practice when constructing a scientific argument.
In order to pass, you MUST quote data relating to at least some of the assay parameters mentioned in the assessment brief eg limit of detection, sensitivity, precision, specificity, linear range, PPV, NPV, quality control.
The data should be used to consider the merits and limitations of each type of assay, so you should discuss the clinical relevance of each parameter eg why is sensitivity important? Why is a wide linear range clinically useful?
