Are there any gaps or weaknesses present in the literature that can be investigated further?Explain your topic. Make a case for why this topic is important to the field of psychology.

Topic: Impacts of Workplace Discrimination on Organizational Performance

The research proposal should be at least 15 pages , double-spaced, not including your title page, abstract, Appendix, and references page, and should contain the following sections:

1) Title Page

2) Abstract

3) Explain your topic. Make a case for why this topic is important to the field of psychology.

A. Research questions you have developed for your topic: Conclude your discussion of the research topic by identifying specific research question(s) about the relationships between two or more concepts.

4) Literature Review: A minimum of 8 pages on the 5-7 relevant articles you selected: Read your articles thoroughly and provide a literature review that synthesizes what was theorized and discovered about regarding your topic. Do not write separate “summaries” for each article; rather, find connected themes or relationships in the different areas you cover. Use these relationships to frame your discussion of how variables were indicated, samples were obtained, and research designs were constructed. Are there any gaps or weaknesses present in the literature that can be investigated further?

Create an instructor’s presentation to teach students about qualitative research designs. This week, you were presented with three different qualitative research designs. Create an instructor’s presentation to teach students about qualitative research designs. This week, you were presented with three different qualitative research designs. Determine the value of each of the five designs listed below and then critique the utility of each one relative to your research problem. Create a narrated PowerPoint presentation that includes the following:

Cover and references slides
The problem to be investigated is Job Satisfaction and Police Resignation in US Policing

A critique of 5 designs:

Grounded Theory
Historical Study
Phenomenology
Ethnography
Case Study

Comparison and contrast of the value of these designs.
Defense of your selection of one of the designs covered this week for your proposed dissertation research study.

Create a one-page critique of the other research design that includes arguments why the design may not be suitable for researching your problem. Include a summary of the key arguments for your choice.

One of the many tasks involved in writing a dissertation or a research article is being able to justify the choice of one methodology over others. Just as critical to the feasibility of a study is the stated rationale for selecting a specific research design. This week, you are introduced to two research designs that have several features in common; there are also stark contrasts that are identifiable.

Consider what you have learned about the case study and phenomenological research designs. Using Job Satisfaction and Police Resignation in US Policing, how could you use these designs to gain insights to fulfill the purpose of your study?

Begin by selecting the approach that best fits the problem. Use the resources provided and at least three other peer-reviewed articles to defend your choice. Create a one-page critique of the other research design that includes arguments why the design may not be suitable for researching your problem. Include a summary of the key arguments for your choice.

Make sure you consider each question in your response. Remember, a good response paper is one in which
you: (a) show you understand what happened in the case, (b) apply tools and citations from course materials, and (c) offer insights into how you can apply the case and course materials to your own leadership journey.
1. Learning from Nadella’s Example
a. What did Nadella bring in terms of his own background that helped him to be successful in stepping into the CEO role?

What steps are companies taking to ensure that employees are not discriminated against? Why is workplace diversity so important in today’s business environment?

In contrast, little was reported on the reversal of the new regulation designed to combat the wage gap between men and women. The revised EEO-1 would have gone into effect March 31, 2018, and required companies with 100 or more employees and federal contractors with 50 or more employees to report W-2 wage information and total hours worked for all employees.

How important is equal pay? According to the analyses of the 2014–2016 Annual Social and Economic supplement published by the Institute for Women’s Policy Research, the United States economy would have produced additional income of $512.6 billion if women received equal pay; this represents 2.8 percent of 2016 gross domestic product.

Summarize the corporation’s responsibilities to internal and external stakeholders. What is the primary product and industry?

Business, Government and Society

You will develop the learning scenario on which you will base the next parts of the project. You will begin this project in this unit, with new sections added throughout the course. You will submit each assignment separately until you combine the project in the final document.
For this first assignment, select an organization/company that interests you. In your selection of a company, selecting a publicly traded company provides greater access to information about the company through reviewing the company’s SEC Annual Report known as Form 10-K. Selecting a publicly traded company is highly recommended. To complete the assignments throughout the course, students will need to conduct research on the company to successfully address the assignment topics. Include the following topics in your paper:
Introduce the organization by providing a one- to two-paragraph background of your selected company. For example:
o What is the name of the organization/company?
o What is the primary product and industry?
o Where is the organization/company’s home office?
o From a global perspective, what is the purpose and responsibility this organization supports within its mission or value statements?
o Summarize the corporation’s responsibilities to internal and external stakeholders.
o Analyze the differences between internal and external stakeholders’ concerns. Does the organization address these differences?
Who are the stakeholders of this organization?
o Why are stakeholder relationships important to this organization?
o What evidence can you find that the organization considers stakeholder relationships in decision-making?
o Provide one example of how the organization actively contributes to building relationships with stakeholders.
o Include what you believe the organization wants to accomplish in building this relationship.
o If you cannot find evidence that the organization supports stakeholder relationships, identify the benefit the organization receives from taking this approach of not building relationships with stakeholders and the potential risks the organization faces in not considering stakeholder relationships.
Analyze the role of technology as a driver for change within the organization or the industry.
o How does the organization use technology in managing stakeholder engagement?
o What are the benefits and risks of using this technology to manage stakeholder engagement?

Describe the communication best practices of this corporation. How does it organize itself to share information across divisions and with stakeholders? How does it convey its identity and narrative to the public? Rely on the course readings and shared media to help you precisely describe examples of these practices.

You’ve learned how communication has a shaping effect on the organization and functioning of a corporation; on the economies and markets in which the corporation is active; and on public perceptions of the corporation’s identity and work. In this short paper, you’ll provide a brief analysis of the corporate communication practices you’ve encountered so far in this class.

Instructions

Analyze the corporate communication practices of one or two corporations, using the “organizational communication/public communication” distinction between corporate communication activity.
Focus on one of the corporations we’ve examined thus far. Choose a different corporation from the one you wrote about in Corporate Communication Analysis #1.
Describe the communication best practices of this corporation. How does it organize itself to share information across divisions and with stakeholders? How does it convey its identity and narrative to the public? Rely on the course readings and shared media to help you precisely describe examples of these practices.
Describe the corporate ethos or identity of the company. How does it acknowledge its own economic, social, and/or environmental impacts? What issues or challenges does the company ignore or de-emphasize? Rely on the course readings and shared media to help you precisely describe examples of these practices.
Make a comparative analysis of the internal and outward-facing communication practices of the company, revealing the extent to which the company’s internal business practices align with its outward-facing corporate narrative and identity.
