Coursework will be made up of two pieces of work

A 1,000-word essay on the following

Part A)-To what extent are crime statistics a valuable tool for understanding crime?

B- A 2,000-word essay on a broad theme encompassing several parts of the course. The questions for this part of the coursework is the following;

This is my main source of information for this module therefore it is required that you use it as the referencing point to answer these questions using it as the main source / textbook as readings from it is set as my primary reading for seminars.All the teaching received in lectures draws on references from this book, which will then allow you in pinpointing opportunities to explore the topics examined in greater depth.

This contains a number of interesting readings on each topic that I’ve studying. All the readings are useful, and some were set as seminar readings.

will attach the *Module Handbook/Seminar* which has the textbook reading, essential reading, and additional reading. The list of topics covered in the module is also there, in addition all the information required to answer Part A) should be from seminar 1-3.

Part B however will cover a broader theme which is why its included seminars 1-7.
